Early 1960s 1675/1s had PCG cases, while later 1675/1s and 1675/3s (which were not made in the 1960s) have RCG cases.
This, the addition of crown guards, an upsized case, and an upgraded movement heralded the 1675’s introduction. From 1959 to 1980, the 1675 was the only GMT model produced by Rolex. It became immensely popular and, as is Rolex’s style, was incrementally improved throughout those 21 .
The 1675 bezel is bi-directional and rotates on a spring-based system. There is a flat shaped piece of metal (the tension spring) that sits under the bezel and holds the bezel/insert in place until the user places pressure down on the bezel to rotate.
The Bracelet. The 1675 came on several different bracelets over the years. Initially offered only on the oyster rivet bracelet, the jubilee bracelet later became an option and the rivet evolved to the folded-link type.Hand sets for the 1675 have their own variations and controversy.
