Is it possible to get the non cyclops crystal from the Submariner No-Date 41mm . I have a D-Blue and will add a Sub no date just because it will be a change and offer something completely opposite from the Deepsea. Smaller, all classic black dial and iconic symmetrical Rolex Submariner dial. Neither will . Is it possible to get the non cyclops crystal from the Submariner No-Date 41mm and have it replaced on the Date? There are lots of Submariner Dates without the cyclops from the 1970s - it would be a similar effect.

I believe the answer is yes on the cyclops removal or the replacement of the crystal. Talk to a independent watch maker and see what they say. I would be tempted to by an OEM crystal from a ND and have it switched out and keep the OEM. I have a D-Blue and will add a Sub no date just because it will be a change and offer something completely opposite from the Deepsea. Smaller, all classic black dial and iconic symmetrical Rolex Submariner dial. Neither will have a cyclops but that is coincidental.

Was there a authentic vintage Submariner that had the date feature but no cyclop? Sorry if this is a rookie question. Thanks in advance! I had this decision about a year ago and went with the no date. My rationale was that the Submariner was originally intended to be without a date when it was introduced and the date model was just sort of an add-on later.
I strongly prefer no date on all my watches, the cyclops is so ugly. A Sky Dweller would look so much better without the cyclops. I tried to tell myself this wasn’t annoying for so long, but it really is (the date, if power runs out). If wear multiple watches per week and the power runs dry between wears then a date quickly becomes the most annoying and inconvenient complication to to own. I strongly prefer no date on all my watches, the cyclops is so ugly. A Sky Dweller would look so much better without the cyclops. Watch is a bit less obvious for travel without the cyclops. Mostly the older cyclops has no AR coating and I have found it nearly impossible to read the date in all but the most optimum lighting conditions.
